Hello to all past, present and future parents and children of abc : )
Thank you for taking the time to look at our website. It is still very much in its infancy and we have many plans for how we can use the website. If you have any suggestions please let us know. We are hoping to show more photographs of the children learning through play with us and to share more of our parent information on the webpage. We are currently reviewing our menus which follow a 4 week rotation. We are looking for simple healthy recipes that children will enjoy both helping to make and eating! If you have any ideas, any family favourites, or any traditional recipes from your family around the world please let us know. We particiularly like to hear new ideas regarding vegan recipes as we try to offer this as our alternative option as this can be eaten by the majority of our children with special dietary requirements. Gluten free recipe ideas would also be really useful.

If you are a current parent / grandparent please take a moment to look at our latest newsletter on the "News" page. We are trying to be more environmentally friendly and save on the amount of paper we distribute. We also know that not all paper newsletters make it home in one piece ! There may also be many grandparents who may otherwise not get to hear some of our news.

We are also hoping that more parents/grandparents will get involved with abc either by coming in to share their hobbies or skills with the children (do you like woodwork, painting, pottery, sewing, play an instrument ?) talk about their job (from fireman to hairdresser, shopkeeper to farmer all kinds of jobs fascinate the children), bring in a pet to show the children etc. You would also be welcome to join us on trips to the park, trips to the woodland "forest  nursery", help us grow vegetables with the children, or simply come in and spend time in the groups. We do understand that most of you are busy working parents but we also want you to know you are very welcome to come, play and learn! (A day never passes without the children teaching us something!)

If there are any ex- abc "children" out there who have grown up now and would just like to let us know where they are and what they are doing now we would love to hear from you (although it will also make some of us feel very old I am sure!). Please get in touch, leave a comment here, or email us.

Finally if you have any complaints or negative comments please talk to us about it - we can't resolve problems if we don't know about it. Please look at our complaints procedure or simply ask to talk to  Lois, Howard or Margaret.
We hope to be writing on here more regularly now, so keep checking in.
Thats all for now !

Lois

Hi Lois,

Have you considered setting up a facebook page? The website doesnt seem to get updates very ofter (links could be put on facebook to newsletters etc) and it would be really lovely to see more photos of what the children are up to and upcoming events etc, staff changes etx. We get to see some of the photos etc when I drop the boys off, but my husband for example rarely gets to see what they get up to. you would be able to restrict access to the facebook page so that only parents of ABC could view its content, or certain content. Would be lovely to have a bit more interaction with the nursery.
